We are Hiring a Custodian!

QUALIFICATIONS


Must be flexible for varied work hours

Must be able to possess the ability to use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly


Physical:

Must be able to repeatedly push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, climb ladders,

and retain and carry out multiple work assignments.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours



RESPONSIBILITIES


Housekeeping:

Perform housekeeping of the building such as, but not limited to;

dust, clean, wash windows, vacuum, clean floors, clean and disinfect bathrooms. replace light bulbs and clean light fixtures empty garbage cans and recycling bins


Building Use Management:

Order, organize and maintain custodial supplies

Set-up and take down rooms for various activities and programs

Assist with building access needs, ensure that building is secure during non-use.

Regularly inspect the facilities for safety and fire hazards

Maintain sidewalks and church steps including snow removal and salt applications


Facility and Equipment Management:

Coordinate the removal of snow from parking lots, as well as coordinate lawn services, ensure that church grounds are well kept

Arrange for maintenance and repairs that require skilled electricians, plumbers, ect..

Operate a variety of cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, scrubbers,

carpet shampooers, etc.

Maintain inventory of church equipment and keep records of purchases and repairs

Maintain and operate the HVAC system

Maintain state certifications and inspection records for boilers, elevators and other outside contractors.

Perform minor maintenance functions


Communicate regularly with pastor and staff regarding set up and custodial needs.

Remain as an integral part of the facilities committee, attend meetings as necessary and relate to the chair on an ongoing basis.

Be available in case of emergency.

Perform other assigned tasks as needed or requested in a timely manner.
