I'm New to Spirit Lutheran

The Spirit Lutheran community reveals an active, living faith, responding with and to the world's needs with Christ-like engagement. The Spirit moves us and we hope it will move you, too. We offer two worship services on Sunday, traditional and modern, and one service on Wednesday evenings. Each week we share a variety of opportunities for engagement in mission and Christian education for all ages. We'd love to meet you! Come and see if Spirit Lutheran might be a good fit for you.

Q: Where is the church located?

A: Our address is 1310 Main St. We are located in the East Side Hill area.

Q: Where do I park?

A: We have a parking lot adjacent to the church, there is also handicap parking next to the building and street parking is available.

Q: Which entrance should I use?

A: The main entrance along Main Street or the door on the South East corner, next to the parking lot.

Q: What time is worship?

A: We have two worships each Sunday, a traditional organ led at 8:30 a.m. And we have a modern band-led service at 10:30 a.m. We also offer a worship service on Wednesdays at 5:50 p.m. Click here for more information about our services.

Q: Do you offer Sunday (Shine) school?

A: Yes we offer Sunday school each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and Wednesday night education (Shine) at 5:00 p.m.

Q: Are there other faith education classes for my kids?

A: Yes, we offer in addition to Sunday school, religious education for all children through Confirmation class on Wednesday evenings after worship service at 6:25 p.m.

Q: I have small children, is there an area for them during church services?

A: We have an area near the front of the sanctuary for small children and their families. We also provide 'busy bags' near the rear of the sanctuary for kids as well.

Q: What are the rules to receive communion?

A: All God’s people are welcome to receive Holy Communion. If children have not yet received First Communion; they are welcome to come forward for a blessing.

Q: What if I need assistance during my visit?

A: We offer communion brought to our guests that find it difficult get around. We also have assistive hearing devices in the back of the church, and if you have any concerns or questions, our ushers are happy to help!

Q: Do you offer any adult bible studies, or other activities I can participate in?

A: Yes we do, you can find many others here on our web site, as well as our church newsletter.
